Frequentlyaskedquestions
  • How does WeCure.com Raise Money for Cancer Research?
Our primary source of revenue is through advertising operations. Today, ads are being displayed by Google on our search results and news pages. If an advertisement on WeCure.com catches your eye and you click it to visit the advertiser's Web site, Google pays us a commission. We donate half of it, after expenses, to non-profit foundations involved with cancer research.
  • What Do You Do with the Remaining Profit?
We use a portion of our revenue to fund the development of new Web site features, marketing operations, and events sponsorship (in 2009). We don't pay ourselves a salary.
  • How Do I Use WeCure.com?
Simply use our service like you would any other search engine. Enter one or more keywords in the search box at the top of the page and click the search button.
  • Can I Start Clicking On a Bunch of Ads?
We discourage you from clicking ads for the purpose of raising money even though we appreciate your intentions. In fact, our licensing deal with Google prevents us from offering incentives for clicking ads. We simply believe that, naturally, people will occasionally click ads that match their search criteria.
  • Are You a Non-Profit?
No, we're a small company self-funding our efforts. However, all of the foundations we donate to are legally classified as not for profit 501(c)(3) organizations.
  • How Can I Help?
Start using WeCure.com as your primary search engine. We're also depending on people like you to promote the WeCure cause through word of mouth. We'll let you know about events and other ways you can get involved. Subscribe to our blog for the latest news.
